Ascending the Hill

As I walk up the hill in the cooler early hours of summer, the light brings a promise of hope.  It lights the way.  I am almost home just around the curve.  The high mountain air is fresh and vibrant.  On this occasion there is only a hint of cloud, typical in this arid land.   How noble the trees are to grow roots that find nourishing water.
